whoohooo! i just finished watching the entire series of heroes episode! yes both season 1 and 2. wahaha too bad and luckily the third season is not out yet. so no more distractions for me for now i think? since everyone's out of town, no more serials for me (though i just got the whole series of grey's, ugly betty and house, BUT I AM NOT GONNA WATCH THEM, for now at least). this means i have really start studying. around 11 days left for my super long trips, so i think i have to really start mugging intensively before i know it is the end of the holidays.
good news! I will be getting my paddle! yes! in 3 weeks time! i cant wait. and i hope to get it at a even cheaper price, which is by claiming the 19% VAT. singaporeans complaining about the 7% GST back home, which netherlands have a 19% VAT. =/. oh well. 4 more days and most* ppl will be back in town. =D im a happy man, and i should go to the gym now, and study afterwards! i cant stop repeating myself, but I LOVE HOLIDAYS! =D

emptiness.
it's easter, yet it is so quiet. everyone has gone on holiday/back home. the hall is so quiet and lifeless. feel so bored now. i know i've been waiting for this all these while. but suddenly i just dunno what to do. watching movies/anime and hogging on fb. LOL. ok im learning/practising my baking skill this easter. made the banoffee pie for the dancers, most if not all said it was yummy. haha. and i believe so. im still thinking of ways to make it better.
last night a friend of mine ask me to teach him to make strawberry cheesecake, and i agreed! knowing this is another chance to practise my dessert making skill. haha. so we decided to make a very-strawberry cheesecake (he wants to learn this) and a new york style blueberry cheesecake (my experiment). and im still researching how to make good muffins! yes. kw, next time will not only be a pie shop man, it'd be a bakery.
wanted to go gym today, but when i reached the gym, it was closed cos of easter. so have to walk all the way back to hall. wanted to do some workout since i have no polo this whole week. gosh. life without sports will be damn boring. i should go find something to do now. dinner time~

it officially holiday!!
yes it is official! and i've completed my radio project yesterday afternoon and submitted. all planned for. so after that i went for cheryl's 21st birthday, and went clubbing :). it was FUN. though the waiting was really long and annoying, and the DJ really suck. imagine dancing to horrible music ranging from RnB to trance to retro and jazz? ya like wth. haha. but it was really fun. oh well, i was the youngest among the crowd :). nice feeling knowing you're the youngest there. haha. anyway like what the year 2s commented that my batch (as in the freshers) girls or even guys dont really club much. and i agree!! all too guai liao. so kinda sian when some of us want to go clubbing but only can find the seniors. =/.
some bad news. IM NOT GONNA GET MY PADDLE THIS EASTER!! okay that is a very sad news! oh well, all my fault, i didnt expect there are SO MUCH extra cost for the paddle, imagine an extra 19% tax and €40 extra for delivery? so all in all, i dont want to spend so much to get a paddle, it's almost €350 to get that, WHICH IS INSANE. so i think i can only get it when i go back home, singapore. it's $550 back home... haha and *erhem* my birthday is around that time ar. so anyone wanna sponsor me for my present? HAHA! :P. KW remember who bought u ur HTC touch? LOL.
okay, im gonna making some dessert now. banoffee pies. LOL. jac, this is the cake that im gonna make for your bday, so im practising! haha! ciaos!

i believe you.
a friend of mine just forward me this email and promoting this nice love story. i find it quite nice though. so enjoy it. =)
"I just came across this very touching local love story!
Joanna is a 17 years old student in National Junior College.
Like any other Singaporeans, she lives in a HDB flat and eats at coffeeshop.
But she believes that she has a curse: She believes that whatever negative things that she said will come true.
Jacky, a classmate of Joanna, believes that Joanna is not suffering from any “curse”.
He believes that Joanna is just suffering from some mental illness.
When their paths crossed, a touching love story began.
Read their bittersweet love story at http://www.goodybooks.com/ibelieveyou.htm !
Over ten thousand readers in Singapore had read their story: now it’s your turn!
You can watch the video trailer of the story at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIDRtEOLWiU"

time out.
yes. the day i've longed for. easter break! though it's not offical yet. still got 3 days of sch, which means i have 3 more days to the deadline of my radio design project. -.- . anyway, i just realised today was the last polo session before easter, so the next time i play (/sink) will be in 2 weeks time? gosh. friday's training was very tiring for me. i guess is being out of water far too long. and i can feel the inertia everytime i wanted to accelerate. the feeling is kinda shitty especially BUSA is in a month's time. and my shoulder is getting worse. today was really bad. i cant do a proper stroke on my right arm. i hope my shoulder will recover soon enough for BUSA.
I've decided to go gym every alternate days for these 2 weeks and there after once a week until BUSA and my paris/holland trip. but in the meantime i hope my shoulder wont get worse. i wanted to go climbing during this break from polo since i gave up climbing for polo earlier. but i realised i dont really know the mountaineering club people. which means i dont have a climbing buddy. and climbing alone is really... boring =/. oh well, i shall see how, see if i can manage to persuade anyone to go with me. HAPPY HOLIDAY!

would i ever.
yes finally it's friday. my computing project was assessed earlier, got an A+ =D. though i always wanted an A++ but still good enough i think. at least i didnt copy anyone, unlie those PRCs who copy each other and all got caught. heh. anyways, just had my lab oral exam too, it was quite bad i think. i couldnt answer most of the questions, and i was damn stone so i think the assessor is quite pissed with me. but who cares? this is the last chance that im working with my cheena lab partner!! WOOHOOO! it's celebration!! this is the day i've been waiting for all these while! FREEDOM!! wahaha. even though i still have one more radio design to do and it's due next week. argh. but at least im more relieved now. :)
alright, back to the main point. i wanted to share with you guys what i've experienced for major event. haha. i've uploaded the songs so enjoy them. i really think there are so many talents in singsoc, and these songs are really written from scratch by Gabriel Cheong and Chen Ziyang. my favourite song is 'Would I Ever'. this song is very emo, and somehow i love emo songs. =X. many people say that im emo, but i dont deny that.
A real man show his feelings and emotions; he dare to show others what he feels, how he feels and why he feels; a real man doesnt hide his feelings. so there isnt any wrong to show your emotions! yes that is what i feel. haha. but a real man doesnt let emotions affect him in his performance and work. okay this is getting a little gay.
Anyways, about Major Event 2008 - Our Island lah!, here's the summary:
Act 1:
when Sang Nila Utama first stepped onto this Island called 'Temasek', and he encountered a beast, not sure if it's a lion/tiger. this is a song during this scene:
'Crazy Animal - Boris Iskandar & Daryl Ho'
Crazy Animal video
Act 2:
After Raffles founded Singapore, many immigrants came to Sinagapore and this include the 'Samsui' women then. This song is about the the 'Samsui' and how they really feel then:
'Land of Our Dreams - Christine Cheong'
When the japanese invaded Singapore, there was a love story within it. This song is about a japanese general, Yamato, who fell in love with a local girl called Ai Lin:
'Would I Ever - Daryl Ho & Francine Foo'
Would I Ever video
Then after the japanese occupation was merger. this is the best scene for the entire musical. i like this song alot too, it is very revolutionary:
'Merdeka - Boris Isakandar, Daryl Ho, Chen Yao Hao, Christine Cheong, Francine Foo & Clarissa Poh'
Merdeka! Video
Act 3:
This is the period of separation with Malaya then. the song that represents the people's heart:
'Down and Out - Chen Yao Hao'
Act 4:
The modern Singapore. This was a scene of a taitai shopping in orchard road:
'Orchard Road - Clarissa Poh'
After that was a song about Miss Singapore:
'Miss Singapore - Daryl Ho & Boris Iskandar'
It's the Finale:
'Our Island Home -Boris Isakandar, Daryl Ho, Chen Yao Hao, Christine Cheong, Francine Foo & Clarissa Poh' This song was also being sung at the beginning as an intro
Our Island Home videoI thought this song really described the entire feelings about Major Event 2008. Nice and Sweet.
that's all folks. if u guys want the lyrics, let me know i can post them up! YAY! it's holiday!!!!! :)

thursday.
yes thursday. tmrw is fri, deadline for my computing project, almost done with it, and i realised i have lab oral exam tmrw. and i thought tmrw is the official last day of school, but IT IS NOT. some idiot decided to start the term in the middle of the week, so we have to end it in the middle of the week!! which means school officially end next wed! gdi! but anyhow, i shall declare tmrw as the last day of sch for me since i dont have anymroe lecture next week. only left one last radio design due next week, so i can spend my weekend and the last few days of sch to design my radio project. :) i cant wait for tmrw to end!
by the way, im going paris and netherlands (namely amsterdam, rotterdam and noordwijk) during my easter break!! and im gonna pick up my new paddle when i reach netherlands!!!! which means im £200 more broke since im getting my paddle. of and busa (nationals equivalent) is just before my trip, like literally the day before. so i think i'll sleep all the way to paris. haha! havent really finish planning our itinerary though. but im excited abt the trip!!! =D yay! im gonna have my own double dutch kinetic!!!!

fresh new blood.
yup. the AGM (annual general meeting) 2008 just ended. it took 8 hours in total! cant believe it. anyway, it was the summary of the entire year's event that the singapore society went through and stuff. and the time for the current exco to step down and new exco to be elected. the presidential election took the longest as it was the MOST political one and the most important i guess. the others was alright. someone nominated me as the pres, but i rejected the nomination man. i think im not prepared at all and not up to the cut. so it was okay. so ironically the new president of the SINGAPORE SOCIETY is a MALAYSIAN. =) no offence here but i think he is worth the take. after that was pretty swift. then was the position of the sports officer, this i once gave a thought about it. but knowing my commitment in polo and being in EEE, i just didnt run for the post. so i nominate my fellow SAF officer david who represent the saf and of course safos. i believe he was the best candidate in this position, with is leadership and organisation, it should fit him the best, other than being the P/VP. but someone later nominated me again. knowing my position as compared to david, i know i got no fight at all, but just give it a try though. so the result was obvious. =) anyway i was more than happy about the result. BUT something that really bothers me, some people being in the exco really bothers me, actually is the 2 person, which might be the weakiest link in the committee. one being too bossy, hypocritical (i think) and selfish, the other being 'bo chap' and not serious. oh well. i hope the new exco will run singsoc well the next academic year.
after the agm, suddenly i feel the 'commitment' to singsoc. not that im not up to it, just that i have other commitments in mine. i made this mistake when i was in jc when i ran for council. to balance between OAC and SC then was really a torture, so i have to forsaken one which is to focus on OAC. i didnt want to make the same mistake again. i know i've set my commitment towards polo. i dont want to compromise my commitment towards singsoc, though i know i can contribute quite some bit as compared so SOME people. okay what done has been done. facts of life: nothing is perfect, and no one is. accept it and work with it. period.

last minute.
i always hate to rush things. but it seems that i've been doing that all these while. leaving things to the end and rushing and panicking towards the end. i hate that yet im doing so. how ironic. think im really screwed this time. this course really suck. bah~
reminiscence.
this is my favourite scene other than the dance scenes. enjoy! =)MERDEKA!

all good things come to an end.
finally, it's over. happy and sad. but with more of the latter. i didnt imagine it being over so soon. now, 10 march 2008 9.45pm. exactly 24hours ago, we celebrated our glory, at the great hall, imperial college. it was a real success i must say. it was full house, 600+ seats all taken. impressed, really. the audience was spontaneous and fun. it was simply, awesome.
before the we start, chern ern (the president for singsoc)told us this word for word. " guys, tonight is the night that you were waiting for all these while. it is THE night, YOUR night and it's all YOURS. ENJOY and ALL THE BEST!". at that moment, i was really nervous, happy, excited, sad, confused. ironic indeed. but that's emotions isnt it?
there is so much i want to say and write to every single one, but i just dont know how to start. im still feeling it now. the laughter, the applause and cheers from the audience. it was really amazing. even though i missed the first part of the hiphop dance because i couldnt get changed in time. other than that, i thought i was really the best show that i've put up. the best.
now, i kinda miss those long, 'used-to-be-dreaded', time consuming rehearsals. i really miss them. i miss dancing with annabelle, when she will always goes 'oh crap!' for no reason and i always thought i did something wrong. =/.
anyways, i saw her there present at the event. i was surprised and happy to see her, but sadly we didnt talk. it's very awkward between us now i guess, even though nothing happened. it's heart breaking when i see her talking and taking photos with the rest of my friends and we didnt even say high or even passed eye contact. it is sad isnt it? i thought i've already got over with it long ago, but it seemed that i didnt. not at all. i think that was the last chance that i will see her again. i hate this kind of emo emo thing man. it suck. and when you still have so much work waiting for you.
I WANT TO DANCE NOW!!!

hair cut disaster.
i hate to say this but i think just screwed up my hair. okay. after paying £12 for a haircut it should be rather decent. but. boddy angmoh char bo. dont understand english still come london. damn.
D-Day minus one.
D-Day is a term often used in military parlance to denote the day on which a combat attack or operation is to be initiated. ..By far, the best known D-Day is June 6, 1944 — the day on which the Battle of Normandy began — commencing the Western Allied effort to liberate mainland Europe from Nazi occupation during World War II. However, many other invasions and operations had a designated D-Day, both before and after Operation Overlord....The terms D-Day and H-Hour are used for the day and hour on which a combat attack or operation is to be initiated. They designate the day and hour of the operation when the day and hour have not yet been determined, or where secrecy is essential. There is but one D-Day and one H-Hour for all units participating in a given operation.(from wikipedia)
okay, a formal introduction. =/. yes indeed, one more day to major event. today's rehearsal just ended not long ago. i must say. today was really good, everything was finalised. not bad a performance by far. just somethings that really bothers me sometime. people being spacious conscience and not blocking someone etc etc. and one most important thing that i learnt through all these practices so far: TACT. one of the core values of the navy. this is not propaganda or anything but i think it is really important in the outside whole when you have to work very closely with one another. being tactful minimises conflicts and unhappiness between each other. and because of this, people not being tactful, others get unhappy, pissed off and whatever. i must say, the navy did prepared me well for this. so i shan't complain.
okay back to the mainline. D-1 day. i really really hope things will go as smoothly as possible. i will not drop my dance partner, i will get changed in time, and being in sync with the rest and not knocking into each others! and of course the drama soc not screwing up out lightings and sound effects! so pray for me people! those in singapore, taiwan, malaysia and melbourne! please please pray for me that things wont go wrong!!! it'd kinda suck if things screw up after so much effort put in for the choreography, practices and all the sacrifices made! PLEASE!!
anyways, here's the trailer for the production! enjoy! =D
Imperial College Singapore Society presents:' Our Island lah!'

halfway through.
today is thursday. actually is already friday. which means my lab report and design project are due today. but i've done it. so glad that i cleared half of my assignments despite the hectic rehearsals. have been practising till 11pm for the past 4 days. and have to skip school today and yesterday to finish my reports. even though i've finished them yesterday. today was just crap. woke up at 1.30pm. missed ALL my morning lectures. there were tutorial and study group in the afternoon, but i thought i might just skipped it and touch up on my lab report. so basically, i went school today at 5pm for lecture and went for rehearsal after that. what a life. 2 more days to D-Day. the actual day of Singsoc Major Event. cant believe it that time really passed so fast. too fast. and next week is the last week of term. 2 more assignments: radio project design and the horrendous computing project. i have not even started on it, while some of the other singaporeans have already COMPLETED it 2 weeks ago. im slow i know, maybe it's because i dont have alot of interest in this course? oh well it's too late to say that now. i just have to live with it and make myself love this course. WOOOHOOO I LOVE EEE (electrical and electronic engineering.)! (p.s. even the name spells it all)

the urge to be stronger. much stronger.
im sure u guys have watch bleach and naruto. when kurosaki ichigo and naruto keep training non stop wishing to become stronger. somehow somewhat, im feeling that way now. especially returning from warwick today for the competition. after missing so many trainings it was really tough on me today, in terms of fitness, skill and power. but i think overall is not bad.
we started off well playing against University of Bath, we played really well. the final score was 4-0 and i scored the 1st goal :). and that was my first and only goal in the entire warwick game. i thought we could be better in terms of offense, defense, communication, passing and almost everything. second half was pretty chaotic, but i think we won is not because we were damn good? but it's just because the other team is prepared enough.
next game was against Warwick University Team A - our predicted stronger opponent by far according to our grouping. It was terrible, seriously terrible. we got trashed 5-0. communication was bad, passing was shitty and defense wasnt there. most important of all, i have not enough energy to fight for the ball/goal. my fitness suck terribly.
the game was against Warwick B which we think would be an easy sweep for us. but we were TOO COMPLACENT. i dont know how, i dont know why. the final score was 2-2. can u believe it? i dont actually, but i think we over confident. so till then we had 1 win, 1 loss and 1 ridiculous draw. after that the judgement depends on the game between warwick B and Bath since Bath can never win Warwick A. so if bath wins or draw with B, we will be at least in the top 4 position. unexpectedly, Bath won warwick B 4-0. which make us really speechless after drawing 2-2 against Warwick B.
so then was when we start to panic. we will be going to play against Nottingham which won all the games which means that they were first in their group and likely to be the champs. and Warwick B would play against Southampton which is almost on par with Nottingham. from observation, experiences and prediction, we know that we will not win nottingham in any sense, and warwick A will never win southampton. so this means we will meet warwick A again in the 3rd/4th placing match.
as predicted, we lost to nottingham, but i thought that was the best game played so far. we had awesome defense and the final score was 7-2. not that bad after all, since the other games that nottingham played was like 10/11-0. and i survived a marvelous handroll :). the next games was against warwick game again. i knew we had chance to beat them since we played so well against nottingham. but to no avail, we lost. 4-0 was the final score. so in the end we got 4th overall in the entire warwick game. not that bad after all, considering that we got last in the previous season =/. by the way, in the finals, southampton won nottingham and they got the championship. oh well, life is unpredictable.
okay back to the mainline, to be stronger. 1 more month to BUSA (which stands for British Union Student Association i think) which is the nationals equivalent. i'll be playing for the 1st team. which means im likely to meet even stronger opponents. and that really makes me wan to become much much stronger. so i'll train hard the next few trainings. but now, back to my school work. =/.

4. Muller's banana with custard yogurt
5. Fuji apple
NB: sorry no time to cook soup and ran out of eggs.
hell week begins.
hell week. yes, hell week begins tomorrow officially (in fact it's tonight). I'm heading up to Warwick tmrw for polo competition. im extremely unprepared for this comp, and i know it well after missing so many trainings cos of major event's rehearsal. speaking of that, i just ended my rehearsal today, it was 9am to 4pm. it's been a super long time since i reached sch at 9am, a really amazing achievement for myself. oh well, im the in charge for that so i have to lead by example isnt it? today was quite productive i guess, at least i didnt felt any time wasted for no reason. i did quite enjoyed myself today. performance was quite good :) but still can be better i think.
okay back to context. hell week, why is it called hell week, for me at least. tmrw warwick games, which mean my whole day is gone until like 11pm +. Monday i have another lab test, and i almost forgotten about it. i know it's not gonna be easy, so i have to study for it. tues/wed/thurs/fri = major event rehearsals till about 11pm+ daily, the last few rehearsals before the actual event. and sunday the actual day. after watching Malaysian Night yesterday. there were many things to be reflected on for us, and this make us to practice harder. i hope everyone does think that way too, i really hope so. =/.
so, im almost done with my part of my design project. now left with my lab report thats due on friday. next is my computing project, followed by radio design. time?! i need time man. can someone just please stop the time for me? ok this is super unrealistic. i know i'll brace through all this. it's all in the mind isnt it?
ok to something more pleasant. Im going Paris and the Netherlands this easter break (april)! whoooo, finally after much discussion and planning we fixed the itinerary. and and AND im gonna get my paddle when i go the Netherlands! i hope so! it is not cheap. it's €260 (S$520), cheaper to those in sg, plus im getting a paddle bag which is €53 so im offically broke. but the paddle will be much cheaper if i can find 3 more ppl to buy the paddle. that will be another awesome 5% off. ok but i have to lug the 5 paddles around so 2 will be good enough.
i shall go cook my dinner soon and back to reports. sometimes i wonder why did u choose this 'awesome' course. cheers.
