trip AWESOME.

yes. i shall update on my trip. even though i am now in the library trying to study.

first was my competition at Doncaster, UK. it was freezing. average LAND temperature was like 6ºC? and the water was... super freezing. the moment i capsized, i was stunned. in total shock for like 2 seconds, it felt like minutes passed. then my reflex to me i have to get up and not stay underwater. it was an experience that can never be described. just imagine playing in a game, when you are really trying to catch ur breath from the super fast paced game, then you're pushed into the freezing water. just imagine that. the competition was alright. didnt win anything though. we lost an very important match which determines if we get into the quarters. so we ended up in the top half league. 15/32 teams. not that bad. i know next year, we will definitely be STRONGER and im quite sure about it.
a game of the ULU Old Gits (aka the Lao Jiaos)

Next was my trip to France and the Netherlands.
before i started, the entire trip was great and we have some really interesting encounters, not sure to name them being unfortunate or not. here it goes.

First stop Paris. we went for this free tour that work on tips basis. Just when the tour started, it started to hail tremendously. so we spent 2 days in central paris seeing the nice architectures around. so on the 2nd night in paris. we were right in front of the famous Eiffel Tower, enjoying the sight of it for hours until late. then we realised we were famished. and it was already 10+pm. we were 'deceived' by the fact that the sun set around 8.45pm, thinking that the shops and restaurants will be open till late. later that we were desperately hunting for food, literally. when we reached the nearest metro (train) station to our hostel, we saw the chinese/vietnamese/thai restaurant. so when we went it. the first thing that the shop owner said was 关了关了!and the worst thing was that he was holding a basket of roasted ducks in it! damn it. then we realised that all the shops around us were CLOSED! hoping that there will be food back in our hostel, we rush back and the kitchen was closed. so we went out again, thinking that there will not be any more shops open. THEN we saw this KEBAB shop there. it's like seeing a miracle. oh well. we were really happy that we had the kebab, even though it tasted really horrible and we were bitching about how awful it was, being the 'best worst kebab' we ever ate. how ungrateful are we. LOL.
this is when it started to hail, really badly.

next 2 days was Pairs Disneyland! everything was so magical! a wonderful and magical 2 days at Disney!

after that we took an overnight coach to Rotterdam, the Netherlands (aka Holland). so we reached there around 5am. being lost , we asked random people on the streets for directions and they were surprisingly so helpful. i think they are the most friendly people we every met till then. so we took a cab to our hostel which was like 3 km away -.- the thing was that initially i heard the cab driver say it was €5.10 so we immediately hopped on. until later we realised he meant €15. but oh well, we didnt care much cos we were too tired. so 1 full day in rotterdam. we wanted to take this tour on a boat to bring us around in the river of Rotterdam and to Kinderdijk where the windmills are. but unfortunately, the boat tour was not on that day. so we have to take river taxi there and find our own way traveling around. so we rushed here and there as the last water taxi back to land was at like 5.20pm. so basically, we went to the windmills, right under it. took some photos, and went back within 30mins. it was really a pity not going into the windmills when we were right under it.

this was my lunch at Rotterdam! :)

next 2 days were at noordwijk (pronounce as nord-vik). this is a ulu part of Holland which is filled with tulips farms, bicycles and super friendly people! it was a great 2 days of relaxing there. just cycling around, relaxing at the beach and watching the beautiful sunset. the nicest sunset i've seen on LAND!
Lavender

Tulips! :)

Sunset. :) this is why i love the sea.

the last 2 days was in amterdam! the capital of Holland. a sudden change of lifestyle totally! amsterdam wasnt as friendly as the 2 other places in holland we visited. really interesting stay there. first, we stay in an irish pub/hostel located exactly in the Europe's (not sure is Holland/Europe/World) second largest Gay area. We are JUST next to the Red Light District which is also beside the China town. What else can it say. the only place in the world where they legalised weed and marihuana. wahahaha. but i didnt try it though. sorry to disappoint you guys. =P.

then the next day we headed back to paris on coach and to london on train.

All in all, the trip was filled with really extreme experiences. from the super packed and fast paced cities of Paris and Amsterdam to the relaxing and friendly Rotterdam and Noordwijk. Conclusions here: 1. Capitals are good for sight seeing but not to relax. 2. Chinatown is always beside the Red Light District. 3. NEVER LEAVE YOUR FOOD ON THE GROUND, cause you'll make mr mickeys your good friends. =/
